The IILS has taken up the following research projects:

  • The preparation of Newspaper Readers in Telugu, Kannada, Sindhi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Kashmiri in collaboration with the Language Research Center (a Division of McNeil Technologies, Inc.) USA.
  • The preparation of standard Language Tests in Kannada, Telugu , Tamil, Gujarati, and Punjabi for Language Research Center ( a Division of McNeil Technologies, Inc. USA)
  • A Sociolinguistic Survey of Language Preferences in Education in India for UNESCO.
  • The preparation of grammars in Modern Indian languages.
  • The preparation of Computational Core Grammar of Indian languages.
  • A Sociolinguistic Sruvey of Language Maintenance and Language Loss of Kashmiri migrant children.
  • Development of tribals through education in India.
